| Marshawn Lynch was drafted in the first round by the Bills with the 12th pick overall of the 2007 NFL Draft. As a rookie, Lynch started 13 games while accumulating totals of 280 carries, 1115 yards, and seven touchdowns. Bills fans elected him as not only as Buffalo’s Rookie of the Year, but Offensive MVP as well. |

Coming out of High School, Lynch was the #2 rated running back in the nation behind Adrian Peterson. Choosing to enroll at the University of California, Berkeley, he spent his first season as the primary backup to senior starter, J.J. Arrington. In his first season at starter for the Golden Bears, Lynch amassed 1,246 rushing yards with 10 touchdowns on 196 carries; capped off by a 24 carry, 194 yard, three touchdown performance at the Las Vegas Bowl.
A successful junior season of 1356 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns resulted in being named a first-team All-American, first-team all-Pac-10, Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year, and Co-MVP of the Holiday Bowl.
